Sponsorships & Home Visits |
Every year many Khmer children will drop out of school. One reason is that families cannot afford to buy school supplies. Another reason is families need their children’s help to earn a living.
To encourage families to allow children to continue their education, l we providet impoverished families with basic necessities such as rice, cooking oil, and eggs. The home visit also helps us understand the family’s needs better, and allows discussion of a child’s school progress, attendance, and performance, as well as family issues and other matters. |

School Supplies |
This project was started back in 2011 with the help of Malaysian sponsors, who have donated annually US $40 per child. Sponsorship money goes toward school supplies for underprivileged children, including two school uniforms and all the necessary books, stationery, and other supplies for the sponsored child’s studies.
The Colors of Cambodia sponsorship program now reaches 170 students annually. It has given students who live in poverty the opportunity to go back to school. Every September, a group of volunteers from Malaysia helps distribute school supplies to the Thai Zo School, Khanl Char School, and Samiki School. |

This is a little bit of “giving back” to society. You may ask, why Cambodia? Our answer is why not? Cambodia still needs NGOs and others to help rebuild after the many years of devastation. Giving back is an opportunity to help children in need, because we believe that the act of charity has no boundaries.
Colors of Cambodia welcomes you to join our enterprise.
In September, the Colors of Cambodia team and friends visit Siem Reap families to distribute school supplies, conduct home visits, and offer art workshops.
In December, we assist groups making thank you cards for sponsors, learn music and movement in workshops, as well as an English workshop with a local school.
Each visit to Siem Reap is a new opportunity for us to learn about the meaning of charity and giving.

Educational Trips |
Colors of Cambodia is dedicated to developing children’s creativity and art skills, and broadening their interest in learning. We also create a caring educational environment. With each educational trip we emphasise and instill important values, such as grace, elegance, respect, gratitude, and generosity.
School Groups and Organisations
An annual educational trip is organised for Malaysian secondary students to learn about Khmer history and culture and, at the same time, how to become involved in volunteer work. The students work alongside Colors of Cambodia teachers in local Siem Reap schools.

Fundraising Events |
Fundraising events take place each year and are organized by Bill Gentry and Honey Khor. The Colors of Cambodia team is supported by many generous and kind volunteers. Fundraising events help to promote the value of giving back to the community, such as the valuable work we do for schools and orphanages in Cambodia, bringing free art lessons and materials to children who would otherwise not have access to them. |

Art Outreach |
We have various outreaches to Siem Reap organizations and businesses in need, such as the Angkor Hospital, where volunteers painted a mural for the hospital. Experiences like these allow students at Colors of Cambodia to see their art in an applied setting. |

Exhibitions |
Colors of Cambodia has held a number of art exhibitions over the years in Malaysia, Singapore, Siem Reap, and the United States. Exhibitions bring art awareness to children in Siem Reap, challenging students to become better artists and inspiring them to pursue art as a profession.
