At the Colors of Cambodia Art School and Gallery, students are discovering the power of music through a weekend instruction program led by respected Detroit jazz musician Gerard Evans.

Serving approximately 30 students in Siem Reap, the program introduces children to Western music theory, rhythm, flute, and recorder in a creative and supportive environment.

Evans, a seasoned performer with roots in Detroit’s jazz scene and studies at Berklee College of Music, brings decades of musical experience and mentorship to the classroom.

The program is part of Colors of Cambodia’s ongoing mission to provide meaningful arts education opportunities that encourage creativity, confidence, and cultural connection through the arts.
